Rob Marsland has more than 20 years of experience in the environmental aspects of mining. He has extensive experience in the preparation of environmental assessments and the design and implementation of environmental monitoring programs and environmental management programs, including closure plans. Rob is a project manager/team leader in addition to being responsible for a variety of technical functions, such as water quality modelling and monitoring, geochemical assessments, hydrology and meteorology data collection. Rob resided in Lima, Perú for a 15-month assignment where he was responsible for the EIAs of a number of projects and has continued to travel to Perú regularly. He has been in charge of regulatory compliance monitoring at Canada’s only integrated hazardous waste disposal facility, which included air emission, soil, water and vegetation monitoring.
